Choosing Child Care

If you are seeking
high-quality child care, Richmond County Partnership for Children can
help.
Through our Child
Care Avenues resource and referral service, we offer referrals to
multiple child care providers that fit your needs, such as location,
desired cost and specific shift.
Child Care Avenues
makes referrals only to state-licensed child care centers or homes, but
does not recommend specific facilities.
Parents can request
information on each facility’s star rating. The state’s voluntary
rating system awards one to five stars to each licensed facility, based
on the quality of program and the level of teacher education. The star
rating system is designed to help parents select high-quality child
care and to encourage providers to seek higher standards of care.
