Child Care Resource & Referral
The Partnership offers help in locating a child care facility suitable for your family. We make unbiased referrals, not recommendations, to licensed child care facilities, based on the family’s preferences and needs. There is no charge for referrals.

Child Care Subsidy
Provides financial assistance for child care so parents can work outside the home, which improves the family’s quality of life. This program allows more children of low-income families that receive TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) or CCDF (Child Care Development Fund) to receive high-quality child care.

Provides financial assistance for the purchase of care for eligible children in NC Pre-kindergarten sites for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) or Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) eligible families.

Reach Out and Read
Partners with medical practices to provide pre-literacy opportunities for children and their parents during well-child visits. Each child receives a new book at visits from 6 months until age 5, for a total of eight books. The books are culturally- and developmentally-appropriate and are available in English and Spanish. Resource Lending Library
Provides a valuable source of educational materials for parents of young children in Richmond County. All of the 3,000 books, play items, art utensils and educational materials are designed for children from birth to age 5 or their teachers, parents or grandparents. Sandhills Children's Center
Provides pre-kindergarten financial assistance to public schools or 4- or 5 star-rated child care facilities for care other than the state NC pre-K program. Dual subsidies are for families who are Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) or Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) eligible.
