Infant-Toddler Foundations

Learn about the Infant-Toddler Foundations and recognize
how early learning standards are uncovered in high quality
childhood settings, ways standards can be incorporated
into the planning process and how the early learning
standards support developmentally appropriate practices.

Promoting Dental Health in Children
Tuesday, February 10

Participants will learn about dental care for children ages 3
and up, the importance of brushing during the day, helping
evaluate the child’s motor activities, teaching correct tooth
brushing, the preventative use of fluoride and sealants.

sleep practices and how to create a safe sleep environment

Introduction to Early Childhood Inclusion

Participants will learn what inclusion means. Myths and
facts about inclusion, laws surrounding inclusion and the
benefits and challenges of inclusion will be discussed.
Participants will be informed about key issues supporting
inclusion and linking children and families to services.

Sensible Play for Infants & Toddlers

Explore creative activities that encourage sensory
development in young children. Participants will discover
ways to foster social/emotional, cognitive, language and
physical development through hands-on sensory play. Be
prepared to get your hands dirty and your body moving!

Join the fun by using NC Honor Award Books and
puppetry to extend a child’s creativity and imagination,

oral retelling. This is a make and take workshop.
