Telephone
Technical Assistance
CCA offers telephone technical assistance to child care providers.
If you have questions on licensing, the star-rated license system,
training, or just about anything, call us! If we do not know the
answer, we will try to find it for you.
On-site
Technical Assistance
CCA can visit your facility to provide assistance in many
areas: applying for higher stars, improving quality based on the
Environment Rating Scales (ECERS/ITERS), developing curriculum,
improving health and safety practices, and other areas as requested.
We will visit at a time that is convenient for you. Child care
facilities can formally request technical assistance for improving and
maintaining star ratings through the Star Enhancement Program (details
below).
Trainings
CCA offers in-service trainings for child care providers to fulfill state
training requirements and learn about best practices in child care.
A small fee is charged to partially cover workshop
expenses. See our newsletter or calendar
of events for upcoming trainings and fees. CCA can sometimes schedule
trainings by request or help you find the training you need in
nearby cities. Always call 997-2273 to pre-register for
trainings offered by CCA. In addition, CCA is sometimes able to
offer scholarships or stipends for attending early childhood conferences.

Referrals
CCA makes referrals, not recommendations, to legally operating child
care facilities (who
have submitted their information for inclusion on the referral database)for families seeking child care. There is no charge for this
service to child care providers and families.
Professional Development Program
The Professional Development Program offers course completion bonuses to eligible child care teachers and directors based
on their level of education.
Star Enhancement
Program
The Child Care Star Enhancement Program rewards
facilities that maintain a 4-star or higher rating with quarterly
enhancement payments and offers technical assistance to all providers
to increase and maintain their star ratings.
Quality Enhancement
Program
The
Quality Enhancment Program is designed to help 1-3 star facilities
improve their quality of care by offering Intensive Technical
Assistance, materials, trainings and payments for the education
attained by their staff.
Start-up Assistance
CCA offers resources and
information for individuals considering opening a child care
center or family child care home.
